Your wonderful moments of the tour

The city tour of Murmansk is a fascinating history immersion. You will visit the capital and the biggest city within the Arctic Circle.

Murmansk is a beautiful harbor city which is located on rocky terrain and borders Kola Bay, which doesn’t freeze in winter thanks to the warm Gulf Stream current.

You can catch the Northern Lights eight months a year here.

Murmansk is inextricably bound up with the sea, so most historic sites are related to seamen, the Arctic, and boundary protection. You will learn about tragic events and heroes who have died protecting our Motherland during Soviet and modern times. Also you will learn how the city survived the Second World War.

We will visit the second-largest monument of Russia - To the Defenders of the Soviet Arctic during the Great Patriotic War. The locals lovingly call it  "Alyosha".

We will experience the history at the viewpoint where the fragment of sail of submarine Kursk stands. It was rescued from a scrap yard and turned into a memorial at the Church of the Saviour on Waters. It is dedicated to the men who died aboard the sub: "To the submariners, who died in peacetime".

We will visit the berth where the first nuclear icebreaker "Lenin" is located. It is now a museum where you can learn the history of ice voyages and development of the Arctic. You can visit the museum if tickets are available (for extra payment).

And also you will taste seafood delicatessen (for extra payment).

FEEDBACK ON TRAVELLING WITH US

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY ABOUT US

Your team went above and beyond by crafting an extraordinary program for us! I cherished every moment, from exploring the Tundra, just like the descriptions I read in high school, to admiring the stunning vistas of Teribeka and the Barents Sea. Interacting with huskies and reindeer brought us joy, and learning from the Saami people enriched our experience. I am deeply grateful to your team for taking such wonderful care of us.
